How will the money be used?

Proceeds from the drawing will go to funding priorities established by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation and the Irvine Unified School District. They include art, science and music programs, health and wellness programs, classroom support for teachers, after-school programs, teaching supplies and financial assistance for low-income students to participate in educational programs.

When will I receive my ticket(s)?

As soon as your payment clears, your ticket(s) will be processed and your raffle ticket stub will be sent via first class mail. Please allow up to four weeks to receive your ticket stub in the mail, although most purchasers will get them well before that time. All tickets purchased before an entry deadline are included in a drawing even if the customer's ticket receipt arrives in the mail after the drawing date. Your ticket receipt is not required to prove winning status.

What are the Early Bird Drawings?

Early Bird Drawings are additional prizes offered to reward early raffle entrants. This year there are four Early Bird Drawings, offering a total of over $80,000 in additional prizes to reward early purchasers. All tickets, including the Early Bird winning tickets, are still eligible for subsequent drawings including the Grand Prize Drawings.

What are the Multiple Ticket Buyer Drawings?

We have added bonus drawings for all individuals who purchase more than one raffle ticket. Multiple tickets do not need to be purchased at the same time, however the information on each ticket must be identical to be deemed as a “Multiple Ticket Purchase”. All winners will be notified by phone and/or mail and email if not reachable by phone, and all winners will be posted on the raffle website.

What happens if you don't sell 15,000 tickets?

The rules state that if we sell fewer than 11,200 tickets, the Grand Prize winner receives one half the proceeds of the Raffle after expenses have been paid. For example, if the net proceeds after the expense of conducting the Raffle are $900,000, the Grand Prize winner would receive $450,000.

Is this raffle legal?

The Raffle is entirely legal. California law permits non-profit organizations, such as IPSF, to conduct raffles within specific rules and guidelines (Penal Code section 320.5). Each year, our raffle rules are approved by an attorney, and the tickets for the Grand Prize Drawing are audited by an independent CPA firm. Our California Raffle Registration Number is R-1853.
